This is a fantastic line-up of beer. Between Ten FIDY, Peche Mortel, and Old Rasputin, you've pretty much nailed my all time favorite stouts. I'd drink more Peche if it weren't for the price, but Old Raspy is only a buck or two a bottle and unquestionably amazing.

Choklat is simply fantastic. I can down multiple bombers, no problem. Candy in a glass, and the best chocolate beer ever made.

I also just had a bottle of Espresso Oak Aged Yeti... incredible. Right up there with the Peche, although it's been a while. I'm kicking myself for only landing a single bottle... I'll buy out the store next time I see it. Never had the basic Oak Aged version, let alone the classic Yeti.

Rochfort is a clear win. Not much to say about it... classic Trappist.

The Het Anker I've never had. Just read the reviews... sounds intriguing.

I somewhat agree with your take on Choklat. I can understand how for some it is just too much. Much like their Creme Brulee, it is hard to drink an entire bottle. It is a perfect dessert beer, but very rich, which requires you to sip slowly. It seems to be one of those brews that people either really love or really hate. Not many people in the middle. And no, how much you are able to drink of a beer shouldn't count against it, unless it is touted as a session beer and you can't get through one glass.

- The Rochefort 10 is one of my top 10 favorite beers in the world.

- The Ten Fidy is pehnominal but I think Oskar Blues is getting close to overcharging. Last year the seasonal was retailing for 11.99 a 4 pack, this year it is 17.99 a 4 pack. A great beer that is a meal in a can.

- I have mixed emotions on the choklat. 89 points. Extremely well made and very very tasty, but its hard to drink more than 8 ounces. Should that count against the beer?

- Almost everyone I trust has told me the Oak Aged Yeti is one of the best 25-50 beers in America. I think it is well made but I really just don't enjoy it. To big of a difference between the huge malty, sugary, dark front and extremely espersso like bitterness on the back end.

So you think they just randomly named the beer "Three Philosophers" without the thought of the painting? I think not Greg. I think not....Get your head out of Jesus' grotto!

Great Review David.
One would think you use this technique to actually get laid. But I think it was Bujer who gave you the recipe... I think Bujer's getting some. Stop stealing everyones ideas! Next thing I know you'll be posting my dinner recipes!!!
Love,
Denyele : )
P.S. You are the best lay ever!!! I Love you, David! You are sooooo hot!!!!!! You make me want you with no short-beers. I would love to lay at the foot of your bed, rub your feet, and feed your grapes all day! You are the best! Marry me!!!!!!

After much deliberation, Greg tried to prove to me that a golf ball could be sucked through a garden hose. Let's just say I owe him $50.00.

Good Job, Greg!
